Perfection is not an available option.
Perfection is not an available option.
Why do we buy houses?
Will your children see any need for one?
With mobile phones and ubiquitous internet (see iPhone Nation), there seems to be little to tie someone to a fixed address. Almost nobody exclusively uses US Mail for important items.
Many of us already get parcels delivered to work, rather than have them dumped at our unattended doorway at home.
These days more phone numbers are tied to someone’s pocket than to a street address.
I suspect that “no fixed address” is going to become as common as “no wireline phone” is now among the 18-30 set.
If UPS or FedEx contrives a system of live-addressing (where a package would be addressed to your identity/current-location, and not your address), that would be the final nail.
Who knows -- disposable clothing and Pod Hotels may find a substantial new market.

Safe As Houses
